Description

A nostalgic and delightful salad featuring sweet peas, creamy dressing, and crunchy bacon, perfect for picnics and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • ¼ cup bacon bits
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Thaw the peas by letting them sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes or rinsing under cool water and draining well.
  2. Make the dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl until creamy.
  3. Combine the thawed peas, shredded cheddar cheese, diced red onion, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and bacon bits in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Dress the salad by pouring the creamy dressing over the pea mixture and gently folding the ingredients together until coated.
  5. Chill the salad for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh dill or parsley just before serving for an herbaceous finish.

Notes
