Description

A delightful fusion of spicy sausage, rotini pasta, and a sweet, smoky BBQ sauce, all cooked in one skillet for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz Rotini Pasta
  • 12 oz Spicy Sausage (Andouille or Italian)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce (smoky or honey-based)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder or Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet, add olive oil and sauté the sliced sausage until golden brown and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Make the Sauce: Add BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine and Toss: Return the sausage and pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
