  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas and then add them to the wet mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  7. In a greased baking pan, sprinkle the brown sugar evenly on the bottom.
  8. Arrange the crushed pineapple and maraschino cherries on top of the brown sugar.
