A hearty dish of tender ground meat combined with crispy potatoes, sautéed onions, and spices, creating a comforting meal.

- 1 lb ground meat (beef, lamb, chicken, or turkey)
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let sizzle until fragrant.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies; cook for another minute.
- Add ground meat, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned evenly.
- Toss in chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add diced potatoes, stir well, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle in garam masala, stir, and let sit covered for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
Notes
Dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge. Can also be cooked in a slow cooker or air fryer.
