- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter, softened (for garlic butter)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, melted butter, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture to the pumpkin mixture and stir well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each into a roll.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley to make garlic butter.
- Brush the garlic butter over the warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- These rolls can be made ahead and frozen; reheat before serving.
