Description

Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies are a rich and decadent dessert that combines the classic flavors of red velvet cake with a creamy cheesecake layer, creating a delightful treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Stir in the red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and egg, mixing until well combined.
  8. Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the red velvet layer, then pour the remaining red velvet batter on top.
  10. Use a knife to swirl the cheesecake and red velvet layers together for a marbled effect.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  12. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense red color, add more food coloring as desired.
