Description

Indulge in these rich, fudgy brownies topped with sweet roasted cherries for a delightful dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and then remove from heat; add the chocolate chips until smoothly combined.
  3. Whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and frothy.
  4. Pour the chocolate-butter mixture into the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt until just mixed, being careful not to overwork the batter.
  6. Add the pitted cherries to the mix, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an elevated treat and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
