- 1 pound sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 8 cups cubed bread
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add the onion, celery, and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the thyme, sage, and rosemary, cooking for an additional minute.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sausage mixture, chicken broth, and parsley. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute sausage with plant-based sausage.
- Feel free to add nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor.
