A simple and delicious recipe for Slow Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls that combines all the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls without the hassle of rolling them.

- 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In the slow cooker, layer half of the chopped cabbage.
- Spread half of the meat mixture over the cabbage.
- Pour half of the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the meat mixture.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cabbage, meat mixture, and tomato sauce.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, then pour it over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh parsley for added flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated for easy meals throughout the week.
