Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.
