- 4 pork chops
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Dredge the pork chops in flour, shaking off the excess.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the pork chops and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the pork chops and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Gradually stir in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve the pork chops smothered in gravy, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in buttermilk for a few hours before cooking.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the gravy.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
