  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (12 ounces) mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Create the spinach dip mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, sour cream, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything blends harmoniously.
  2. Wrap the cheese sticks: Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick in half. Take a generous portion of the spinach mixture and carefully wrap it around each cheese stick, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  3. Set up your dipping station: Place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in three separate shallow dishes. Dip each wrapped cheese stick first in the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry to crispy perfection: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F. Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Warm these bites with a side of marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
