Description

A delicious and elegant dessert featuring a flaky puff pastry filled with creamy strawberry filling and topped with fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into a tart shape.
  3. Place the pastry in a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  6. In another bowl, mix sliced strawberries with cornstarch and lemon juice.
  7. Once the pastry is cool, fill it with the whipped cream and top with the strawberry mixture.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter filling, adjust the amount of powdered sugar to taste.
  • Fresh strawberries can be substituted with other berries if desired.
  • Make sure the puff pastry is fully cooled before adding the cream to prevent it from melting.
