- 2 cups Rhubarb, chopped
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Celery, chopped
- 1 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tsp Liquid Smoke
Instructions
- Chop the rhubarb, onion, and celery into small, even pieces.
- Combine the rhubarb, onion, garlic, celery, and water in a large saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook until the rhubarb becomes tender (about 10 minutes).
- Add sugar, salt, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, vinegar, and liquid smoke.
- Simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cool the mixture slightly before blending until smooth.
- Use as a marinade or sauce for grilled meats.
