Description

Juicy turkey burgers infused with zesty lime, creamy peanut butter, and fresh vegetables for a deliciously unique meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground turkey with breadcrumbs, green onions, cilantro, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties.
  3. Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and sriracha in another bowl, adding warm water until smooth.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading peanut sauce on each toasted bun, adding a turkey patty, more sauce, and toppings of carrots, cucumber, cilantro, and onion.
  7. Serve immediately with extra peanut sauce on the side.

Notes

You can prepare the turkey mixture a day in advance. Consider customizing toppings like avocado or jalapeños for added flair.
