- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a cheese blend)
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings (pickles, ketchup, mustard)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
- Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Stir in shredded cheese until melted and gooey.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the sandwich with beef and cheese mixture between two slices of bread, buttered sides out.
- Grill the sandwich on medium heat until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
