Description

Delicious and colorful macarons perfect for Valentine’s Day, filled with sweet and romantic flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Food coloring (pink or red)
  • Buttercream or ganache for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then add cream of tartar and gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites, adding food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  5. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets and let them sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
  7. Fill with buttercream or ganache and sandwich together.
