Description
A delightful and flavorful Vietnamese grilled chicken dish that combines tangy, sweet, and savory flavors with a perfect char.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Fresh herbs (like cilantro or mint) for garnish
- Cooked rice or salad for serving
Instructions
- Combine fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, lime juice, minced garlic, ginger, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
- Place chicken breasts into the bowl, coating generously with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a grill pan over medium heat, lightly oiling the surface.
- Grill the marinated chicken for about 6 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Allow chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.
- Serve over rice or in a salad, garnished with chopped herbs.
Notes
Marinate the chicken for optimal flavor. Can be cooked in an oven or air fryer if grilling is not an option.
