- 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes until fragrant.
- In a saucepan, combine the maple syrup, salt, and pepper, and heat over medium heat until warm.
- In a serving dish, spread the goat cheese evenly.
- Pour the warm maple syrup mixture over the goat cheese.
- Top with the toasted walnuts.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve immediately with crackers or bread.
