Description

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole grain, or classic white)
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the sliced avocado, chicken, and cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until the cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes more.
  8. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
