- 8 oz elbow macaroni or penne
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 cup diced yellow onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the elbow macaroni for 2 minutes less than package directions suggest. Drain and set aside.
- Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, then remove and chop into pieces.
- Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic to the same skillet, cooking until the beef is no longer pink. Mix in ketchup, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, beef broth, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Fold the cooked pasta and crumbled bacon into the beef mixture, ensuring everything is coated.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
