Description

A delicious combination of a cheeseburger and lasagna packed with crispy bacon, rich cheeses, and savory meat sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked & chopped
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Introduce the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in the cooked bacon and mix with marinara sauce. Allow to simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Layer in a baking dish: spread meat mixture, then noodles, and cheddar cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling a day in advance and refrigerating before baking. Customize with add-ins like bell peppers or mushrooms.
