Description

A delightful blend of sweet and savory, baked pears topped with creamy goat cheese, honey, and cranberries.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored
  • ½ cup crumbled goat cheese
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the halved pears cut side up in a baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the pears and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle generously with crumbled goat cheese and chopped cranberries.
  5. Drizzle honey over the top.
  6. Scatter fresh thyme leaves and chopped walnuts over the pears.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pears are tender and caramelized.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or crème fraîche alongside the warm pears.
