- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk the dry ingredients in a medium bowl: mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl until fluffy and light.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and sprinkles, folding them into the dough.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
