- 1 sheet Puff pastry (thawed but cold)
- 1 Large egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 1 cup Shredded mozzarella
- 2–3 Large vine-ripe tomatoes (sliced thick)
- 2 balls Fresh Burrata cheese
- Handful Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tsp Dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Salt & Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup Balsamic glaze
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently score a 1-inch border around the edge and prick the center area with a fork.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg wash and sprinkle shredded mozzarella inside the scored border.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the edges are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove the crust from the oven and arrange thick tomato slices on top of the melted cheese.
- Tear the Burrata into pieces and distribute over the tomatoes, then scatter fresh basil leaves.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil to finish.
Notes
Make-ahead: Assemble the tart and refrigerate for up to an hour before baking. Customize with different toppings like roasted peppers or artichokes.
