- 1 Baguette, fresh and crusty
- 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, sliced
- 2–3 Tomatoes, ripe and sliced
- 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil, extra virgin
- 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, freshly cracked, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat (400°F or 200°C).
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, exposing the airy interior.
- Layer fresh mozzarella slices on the bottom half, followed by thick slices of tomatoes.
- Add fresh basil leaves on top of the tomatoes.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Season with salt and pepper to enhance flavors.
- Grill the baguette for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is crunchy.
- Serve warm, cut into individual pieces.
Notes
For make-ahead tips, prepare the tomato and mozzarella layers before grilling. Feel free to customize with pesto or prosciutto.
