Description
A hearty casserole featuring tender beef chuck roast, a creamy garlic sauce, and deliciously melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 beef chuck roast (3 lbs)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or cream of mushroom soup
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt & pepper
Instructions
- Sear the beef: Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then sear it on all sides until beautifully browned.
- Prepare the casserole dish: Transfer your seared beef to a large casserole dish.
- Create the creamy sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, heavy cream (or cream of mushroom soup), and minced garlic until fully combined.
- Combine & bake: Pour the cream mixture over the roast in the casserole dish, ensuring the beef is well-coated. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (162°C) for about 90 minutes.
- Add the cheese: After 90 minutes, remove the casserole from the oven. Top with shredded cheese and return it to the oven uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Notes
Feel free to prepare the casserole a day in advance. You can also customize by adding bell peppers or mushrooms to the sauce.
