Description

Comforting chicken rolls stuffed with gooey mozzarella and served in a creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 8 ounces smoked beef strips, cooked until crisp and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Start by butterflying the chicken breasts: slice them down one side, opening them like a book, and gently pound them to create an even thickness.
  2. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika for a well-rounded flavor.
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with chopped parsley until smooth and well combined.
  4. Spread a small layer of this creamy filling onto each chicken breast. Place a mozzarella stick at the center and roll the chicken tightly around it.
  5. Heat olive oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add the chicken rolls, searing them for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they achieve a light golden brown hue.
  6. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and stir the mixture well. Gradually incorporate the grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and an extra pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Arrange the seared chicken rolls in a baking dish. Pour the garlic cream sauce around and partially over the chicken.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  10. Once baked, sprinkle the crispy smoked beef strips over the chicken rolls and broil for an additional 2 minutes.
  11. Garnish your creation with fresh parsley and serve alongside creamy mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or steamed rice.
