Description

Indulge in this creamy shrimp stuffed bread bowl that combines crispy artisan bread with a rich shrimp and cream cheese filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round bread loaf
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the inside.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Toss in the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, parsley, and the shrimp in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Spoon the creamy mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
  8. Place the stuffed bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Serve fresh out of the oven with reserved bread pieces for dipping.

Notes

For variations, consider using crab instead of shrimp or adding spices for extra flavor.
