Description

Delicious crispy salmon bites coated in a creamy bang bang sauce, providing a delightful explosion of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Salmon Fillets (skin removed and cut into cubes)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice (fresh is best)
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley (or Green Onions, or Sesame Seeds)
  • 1 lime Lime Wedges (optional but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes, about 1 inch each. In a small bowl, mix your dry seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Season the salmon: Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel to eliminate excess moisture. Drizzle the olive oil over the cubes and gently sprinkle your seasoning blend. Toss carefully until every piece is thoroughly coated in flavor.
  3. Prepare the bang bang sauce: In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth. Adjust seasonings for desired spice level.
  4. Cook using Oven Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread seasoned salmon cubes evenly and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  5. Or using Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer and arrange salmon bites in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Finishing touches: Toss cooked salmon bites in the bang bang sauce to coat.
  7. Serve: Arrange salmon bites on a plate, drizzle with extra bang bang sauce, and sprinkle with chopped herbs. Garnish with lime wedges.

Notes

Make the bang bang sauce ahead of time for convenience. You can grill these bites for a smoky flavor. Keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
