Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken until fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, heat enough oil in a separate frying pan until it shimmers.
  4. Take a wonton wrapper and place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center. Fold it into a triangle shape and seal the edges tightly.
  5. Gently place the sealed wontons into the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden-brown.
  6. Once golden, drain the wontons on paper towels.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing the crispy wontons upright and filling them generously with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and green onions.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a final touch of flavor and flair.
