Description
A perfect brunch salmon recipe with a delightful balance of flavors featuring garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 skin-on salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Line all your ingredients on the countertop. Zest the lemon and mince the garlic. Chop the herbs finely.
- Season the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Drizzle olive oil in a pre-heated non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the salmon: Place the salmon skin-side down in the skillet, pressing down gently for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the fillet.
- Add flavors: Sprinkle the minced garlic over the fillet and squeeze half a lemon on top. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is barely opaque in the center.
- Finish the dish: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh herbs, and zest the remaining lemon over the top. Let it sit for a minute.
Notes
Consider marinating the salmon in olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for an hour prior to cooking for enhanced flavor.
