Description

A comforting and indulgent meatloaf made with ground beef, French onion soup mix, and topped with melted Swiss cheese, slowly cooked to perfection in a crockpot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 700 g ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • Swiss cheese (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, French onion soup mix, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it gently in the crockpot.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 360-480 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  4. Place slices of Swiss cheese atop the meatloaf about 15 minutes before serving, then cover and let it melt.
  5. Slice and serve with your favorite accompaniments.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the meatloaf mixture. Use a meat thermometer to ensure proper cooking temperature. Let it rest before slicing to retain juices.
