- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place a slice of ham and cheese on each chicken breast.
- Roll each tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Dredge each roll in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the rolls for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the fried rolls to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove the toothpicks and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using an air fryer. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
