Description

Crunchy egg rolls filled with a creamy blend of cheese, jalapeños, and optional bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 34 jalapeños, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1012 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for sealing edges)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or sunflower oil)

Instructions

  1. Make the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, mozzarella, finely diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper until smooth.
  2. Fill the egg rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper, spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the filling near the center, fold, and roll tightly.
  3. Heat the oil: In a frying pan, heat oil to around 350°F (175°C) for frying.
  4. Fry the egg rolls: Carefully fry filled rolls for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Drain & serve: Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Make-ahead filling for convenience. Air fry for a healthier version.
