Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sticky rice
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
  • Sesame seeds or mung beans for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak the sticky rice in water for at least 4 hours or ideally overnight.
  2. Steam the rice over boiling water for about 30 minutes until tender.
  3. Prepare the coconut sauce by heating coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  4. Mix the warm rice with half of the coconut sauce.
  5. Plate the sticky rice and top it with sliced mango and drizzle with remaining sauce.
