Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls made in just one hour, perfect for breakfast or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until well-combined.
  3. Unite the Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead Gently: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Roll the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Add the Filling: Brush the melted butter over the surface, then sprinkle it with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Create the Rolls: Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 12 even rolls.
  8. Let Them Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake to Perfection: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Prepare the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  11. Drizzle and Devour: Pour the glaze generously over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

If desired, you can customize your rolls with nuts, chocolate chips, or use cream cheese frosting instead of glaze.
