- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until well-combined.
- Unite the Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead Gently: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
- Roll Out the Dough: Roll the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- Add the Filling: Brush the melted butter over the surface, then sprinkle it with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Create the Rolls: Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 12 even rolls.
- Let Them Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
- Bake to Perfection: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle and Devour: Pour the glaze generously over the warm rolls before serving.
Notes
If desired, you can customize your rolls with nuts, chocolate chips, or use cream cheese frosting instead of glaze.
