Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pistachio paste (or finely ground pistachios)
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- 20–24 ladyfinger biscuits (or tea biscuits)
- 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Extra pistachios (for garnishing)
Instructions
- Start by whipping the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until it forms soft peaks.
- Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Separate half of this cream mixture into another bowl, and stir in the pistachio paste.
- Dip each ladyfinger biscuit into the cooled coffee for about 1–2 seconds.
- Layer your dessert in the baking dish: Start with a bed of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, followed by the plain cream mixture, then a layer of the pistachio cream.
- Sprinkle with chopped pistachios between layers for crunch and texture.
- Repeat until you’ve used all your ingredients, finishing with a luxurious layer of cream on top.
- Smooth the surface gently for a polished look, then dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with extra pistachios.
- Cover your masterpiece and refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours.
Notes
Make the tiramisu the night before to allow flavors to deepen. For a different twist, try incorporating rose water or orange zest.
