Description

Delicious potato nests filled with seasoned ground meat and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large potatoes
  • Salt, to taste
  • 25 g (2 tablespoons) butter
  • Ground meat (beef, chicken, or pork)
  • Grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel and grate the potatoes until fine.
  3. Rinse the grated potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.
  4. Squeeze out the excess moisture from the potatoes.
  5. Combine the grated potatoes with salt and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  6. Form the mixture into nests on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Cook the ground meat in a skillet until browned, season with black pepper and herbs.
  9. Fill each nest with cooked meat and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  10. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes.
  11. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak grated potatoes briefly in cold water and ensure to squeeze out excess moisture.
