Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and stir in the granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour in the red food coloring and mix until you achieve the desired hue.
  7. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  8. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan; add dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the top.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl the cream cheese mixture gently.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  11. Cool completely before cutting into squares for serving.
