- 1 lb of steak (flank or sirloin)
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bunch of cilantro, chopped
- 2 limes, cut into wedges
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: Salsa, avocado, cheese
Instructions
- Season the steak: Generously sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the steak.
- Cook the steak: Heat the cast iron skillet or grill over high heat, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Let it rest: Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Warm the tortillas: In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds each side.
- Assemble the tacos: Thinly slice the rested steak against the grain and lay it on each tortilla. Top with onion, cilantro, and any desired toppings.
- Squeeze lime juice over the tacos before serving.
