Description

A delightful chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and a luscious cream cheese swirl, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix together the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  6. Scatter the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Pour the remaining cake batter over the strawberries.
  8. Swirl the batter gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely before serving and top with sliced almonds if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free chocolate cake mix. Customize with other fruits like raspberries or blueberries.
