Description

Delightful Swedish Blueberry Buns with a soft, buttery texture and bursting with juicy blueberries.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Gradually stir in the milk until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the blueberries gently.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1 inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into desired shapes.
  8. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
