- 1 pack Mini bagels (sliced in half)
- 1/2 lb Ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 cup Pizza sauce or marinara
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1–2 Medium tomatoes, sliced into rounds
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a kick!)
- Salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brown your ground beef or Italian sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Arrange your split mini bagels cut side up on the baking sheet.
- Toast them in the oven for about 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Spread a generous spoonful of pizza sauce over each bagel half.
- Top each bagel with your cooked meat.
- Pile a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Add a slice of tomato on top and sprinkle on more cheese.
- Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Customize with various toppings or switch the meat for preferred options. These bites can be made ahead and frozen for convenience.
