Description

Delicious tacos filled with crispy halloumi, fresh avocado, crunchy cabbage, and drizzled with hot honey for a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (200g) Halloumi Cheese
  • 4 Corn Tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons Hot Honey
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup Red Cabbage, shredded
  • Fresh Cilantro, for garnish
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the halloumi cheese into thick pieces, about half an inch thick for the best texture.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the halloumi slices in the skillet. Fry until they are golden brown on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in another pan or the microwave until soft and pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing a crispy piece of fried halloumi on each warmed tortilla.
  5. Drizzle hot honey generously over the halloumi.
  6. Top with sliced avocado, shredded red cabbage, and fresh cilantro.
  7. Squeeze lime juice over the tacos and season with salt and pepper to your taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding black beans or pickled onions as toppings.
